This controversy unfolded around the $POX token, an SPL-404 token on the Solana blockchain, blending memecoin and NFT cultures into one package. The project promised some serious innovation and has delivered some brilliant potential deceit.

The Genesis of $POX
The current saga began with the introduction of $POX, developed by Mutant Labs, which included a unique locking mechanism through a 404 contract, recently dubbed "God Mode." This mechanism was intended to lock tokens, but later speculation revealed that the contract can be amended for any reason as seen fit by the developers at any time.

The information unfolded when users were encouraged to visit the Monkey Pox website to lock their tokens, only to find out later that the contract had apparently been amended to capture their seed phrases, a critical security breach.
The Pump & The Tax
Bark Media, the media account associated with representing Bark, Books, and Shibo, was actively involved in promoting $POX. They engaged Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to pump the charts in public spaces, contributing to a surge in the token's market cap, which reportedly reached approximately $100 million. However, the liquidity remained suspiciously low at around $200K when the market cap was at $9 million, with estimates suggesting that around $1 million in liquidity was drained. This practice, while not uncommon in the crypto space, was particularly egregious here due to the lack of transparency regarding a hidden 99% tax on transactions and early unlocking fees. This tax was only discovered when early investors, referred to as 'egg holders,' attempted to sell their tokens, finding their profits severely diminished.

@_CXMZ No sell tax. There’s an early unlock fee which you agree to when you lock, which you don’t have to do but you won’t get rewards. I locked a bunch of $ME tokens and can’t get them out no matter what until the lockup ends. Very common.

There’s a warning when you lock that tokens will have a 90% fee if they’re unlocked early. You can’t lock them without seeing this warning message. And yes I’ve heard the leaked audio. It’s from a long time ago, when pox was first launched. They were trying to get people to lock, as this is a core mechanism for the supply squeeze tokenomics to really work. I think they were talking casually between friends.
CRG Space: A Platform for Truth or Manipulation?
A notable event was the CRG @DeeHouseMF on X Space, who positioned himself as a 'truth-teller.' CRG's space was filled with irony filling the stage with members of the same community as well as some former disgruntled Doginal Dog community members. His opening was theatrical, with the track 'Hater's Anthem - Infinity Song' setting a confrontational tone, and the space titled "tHe TrUtH aBoUt BaRk MeDiA $POX". CRG's discourse oscillated between spreading love and public shaming for 'snitching', highlighting the community's mixed feelings about the actions of the 3 B-Boys. Strategically taking place on Christmas Eve, over the holiday season during a time on the platform with the least active listeners.

CRG's approach included a mix of entertainment and serious allegations, setting the tone for a 4 hour long session that was both a spectacle and a serious discussion about the ethics of actions. He emphasized not hating on the entire Doginal Dogs community for the actions of a few.
A live quote taken directly from a participating panelist, a former Doginal Dog community member:
"The problem CRG is you take peoples money, you fool them into thinking if you lock your sh!t away you're going to get rewarded. New people in the space don't know better. With a 99% fee that's a honeypot. The reason I slowly left the community. These people legit told people what they're doing. On their own spaces. People were blind. People didn't see it. People believed them. People talk sh!t, people make mistakes so I wanted to be there and see it for myself. They scammed people, they stole from people and at the end of the day that's what they did."
The finesse of live spaces was noted, with common tactics used among all spaces hosts that include long monologues, abruptly muting non-conformers, blaming X for connection issues and redirecting conversations to control the narrative and overall flow.

The clip clearly reveals the extent of control Bark Media claimed to have over the project, with statements like "we're on God Mode" and threats of "cruel and unusual" actions against those who didn't lock their tokens. It ends with a chilling question about the absence of FBI intervention, underlining the gravity of the situation.

The community's reaction was mixed; while some Doginal loyalists were quick to take action. Taking to the timeline and defending the boys and their community of believers. Others, including former community members, called for transparency and accountability.

You are also giving arguments from the scammers themselves quoting lots of the scammers own tweets.
