A “frens only” frog coin built on kindness is now fighting over an empty community wallet and after YEARS of internal fallout, former insiders and community members alike are starting to compare notes.

A 16-page community report compiled by Ayin @ayinsadiq on X alleges roughly $500K in project assets remains unaccounted for under @apugeneral 5G, who reportedly had sole control of the community wallet.

But the paper trail goes back even further.
In October 2024, APU dropped a 7,777 NFT collection that raised 700 ETH. According to the report, those funds landed in a wallet controlled exclusively by 5G @apugeneral DESPITE community discussions around decentralization and concerns over one person controlling the treasury, domain, website and chats.
By 2026, the questions got a lot louder.
The report claims $300K in market-maker inventory returned by Flowdesk that could no longer be located in known project wallets, alongside another $200K in community funds.
Then there’s Kairon.
Kairon Labs is $APU’s market maker which is essentially responsible for maintaining liquidity and healthy buy/sell order books across centralized exchanges.
The report says APU currently owes market maker Kairon $43,709, with roughly $5K in monthly costs. Kairon has allegedly been covering those expenses from its own managed inventory, raising concerns around liquidity, order books and ultimately APU’s CEX listings.
5G @apugeneral disputes stealing the funds and reportedly maintains that money was spent on the project and operational expenses.
The report argues the expenses disclosed so far do not account for the amount it says is missing and calls for a complete financial accounting.
And this isn’t JUST a wallet story.
Former members describe a much longer internal breakdown involving Grape @shittensor , Jim (DELETED ACCOUNT), Maxi @blackcoinMAXI on X, Shrooms @ApuShroomCycle, Izzo @Apu_zizo and other members of APU’s inner circle, with departures happening at different points as questions over control and transparency mounted.
Maxi quotes “Grape @shittensor was the sole reason APU pumped. He funded everything, bought the apu.com domain ( and took it back ) leaving them with apu.io trash.” 🗑️
Now Uncle Sauce @saucestaja and Maxi @blackcoinMAXI on X are helping push this full story back into public view which comes with its own juicy lore.
Uncle Sauce tells CTMZ that Maxi previously spent his own money pumping the APU NFT, generating fees they say ultimately flowed directly back toward 5G. @apugeneral
A bit of inner-community lore: Maxi was one of three people who reportedly gifted Uncle Sauce @saucestaja 1M $APU years ago. Maxi later became known for wanting his back, fueling a long-running feud between the two. But amid APU’s brutal collapse, they since have buried the hatchet to come together over the bigger issue at hand.
Old debts. Old drama. Old alliances. Former insiders. One common problem.

The source says it would be “disingenuous” for any one person to tell the entire APU story because everyone entered and exited at different points. But all of it was like pieces of a puzzle to the grander full picture fall of the coin.
That may be exactly why this took so long for all this to spill outside the APU Pond.

The people who were there are starting to explain the rest. At least... some of them. Others seem to be complicit and silent while all knowing.

@apugeneral has wasted no time and already moved on to a new coin in the $HAPPY community.
The current situation with the $APU NFT’s provides some hope: On one hand, we have scammers like @apugeneral that has gone out of his way to undermine and exploit the collection for 2 years to line his own pockets, then you have white hats that dedicate their own time and effort to restore a lil bit of faith @0xQuit 🤝
All this leaves us and the community asking one question.
Is the APU Community totally flushed straight down the toilet? And if the funds were handled properly, where are the records?
