2/ I will be joining the effort to helping Mitch get unsuspended, and will be doing what i can to help. As with lots of people in the memecoin world, he says a ton of spicy things and he definitely pushes the overton window hard, but i don't think he has any malicious intention at all. As part of that, there is an important conversation to be had around what is acceptable or not even in the degen world, so that is an important thing to do as well.

3/ @zachxbt, @AshleyDCan and many others have brought up the disconnect between the policy i installed a year ago in discord around the usage of racial terms and my public conversation. While i maintain there are major differences between targeting an individual/group and what transpired, i very much acknowledge that this is a real problem. I will work on a coherent policy w the team and take great care moving forward in my personal comms.

4/ Again, I would like to thank everyone who helped in any way - privately, publicly and in helping me craft the statement. Too many of you to thank, but i am insanely grateful for all of you. No caps at all.

Statement To my team and community: You are the most sincere, welcoming people I know, working relentlessly to make the Jupiverse and the world a better place. Any challenges or issues arising from this incident are mine alone to own, not yours. I stand fully behind the incredible work we do together. Also, sincere apologies to anyone who felt targeted or that I didn’t care about them because of the color of their skin. Racism is obviously completely unacceptable and I love you all. I have years of operating both online & offline to prove that this is not how I behave in my personal or professional life. Lastly, I regret the negative attention brought to the ecosystem because of my words and certainly reject the notion that usage of derogatory terms targeting others should be normalized. The comments were made when shooting the shit with my Twitter friends Mitch and @TeTheGamer. Read it for yourself - the terms were brought up in response to a request for verification for a very interestingly named token or to them in a friendly way. Intention and context are key in determining any kind of maliciousness, which I think was completely missing in much of the conversation here, particularly in the outrage. I do thank everyone who took the time to write thoughtful responses - it certainly informed a lot of the thinking above. Most of all, as a professional trouble making cat, i would like to thank everyone who has been supporting me in public responses, dms, discord and all. Your support was absolutely crucial & very touching. ILY all of you, and i will find time to thank everyone personally over the next few weeks - and hopefully - at Catstanbul! I accept my shortcomings. But I will learn and grow and continue focusing on becoming better and Jupiter as a platform and community. Lastly, my dms are open for the next couple of days for anyone who is still bothered by this situation or wants to talk it out with me. I'm here. 🐈
